| About | The modern A. Lange & Söhne was founded by Walter Lange on December 7th 1990. With the help of LMH and in particular the late Günter Blümlein, walter Lange sets out to create a collection of watches to rival the likes of the Swiss Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet. The inaugural collection, consisting of the Lange 1, the Arcade, the Saxonia and the Tourbillon Pour le Mérite, is presented on October 24th 1994. The Lange 1 would grow out to be emblematic for the Glashütte-based brand; the Tourbillon Pour le Mérite an indication of the technical prowess and ambition. Notable later introductions include (but are not limited to) the Tourbograph Pour le Mérite, the Datograph, the Double Split and the Lange 31. |
